Welcome to Chromatic Harmonic Music

My name is Dave Brown, and I am passionate about chromatic harmonica. Perhaps I should qualify that statement – I play my chromatic harmonica every day, but I am not obsessed with technique or style.

Technique and style are instinctive, these are personal traits which are products of constant practise. If I think a certain phrase needs a particular vibrato technique, for example, I will learn that technique. I just learn on a need-to-know basis and find it suits my temperament.

My philosophy for life is to enjoy it and have fun. I do not play professionally or even with others, so I have a relaxed attitude and can enjoy the practise.

Even though my musical background is in Flamenco music, as I get older, my taste in music is becoming more diverse. By nature, I am a pro-active person and I throw myself into every project I take on, so every day I look for new tunes to play on my harmonicas.

On this website, I will share random tunes I arrange for chromatic harmonica.

I have two books published on Amazon, available as printed books or as Kindle books. The books emphasise my diverse taste in music, tango and Eastern European folk tunes are the respective subjects of the books.
